Wondering what to do with 24 hours in Boston? I'm sharing our list of things we did when we had one full day to try and stuff in as many things as possible into our schedule. I shared our first half day in Boston here, but this post has the second half of our 24 hour trip. When I asked for help on Twitter, I received so many great recommendations. We started off our morning by heading to Little Donkey in Cambridge. Thomas had the delicious Chilaquiles while I stuck to Scrambled Eggs and Mint Tea, my usual go-to for breakfast. We planned on exploring a bit in Cambridge, but decided to leave that for another trip to Boston, instead we headed over to Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.

The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum caught my eye when we were searching through places to visit in Boston. Completed in the early 1900s, it's named after Isabella Stewart Gardner, a fascinating women, that with her husband, traveled the world in pursuit of learning about art and acquiring it. After amassing, an impressive collection, she designed and constructed the museum to properly display it. There were some wonderful pieces at the museum but to me, the highlight of it is its courtyard, which sits at the center of the Museum.

Our next stop was the Boston Public Library, the first public library (of it's size) in the United States. In 1895, the library was constructed in it's current location on Copley Square. Since it's free to enter and a historic landmark, there are quite a few visitors that make their way through the doors. Surprising to us, almost every table was full with people reading books or studying.

Our final stop before heading back to the hotel to pack up and head to the airport was for a hot chocolate at Caffé Nero, another chain that has a few locations throughout the city. Sadly, we couldn't fit in much more since we had a 5pm flight back to Charleston, but we are so looking forward to a trip back soon.
