Passing Time In NYC

Outfit Details:

MICHAEL Michael Kors Coat, Top, Skirt, Booties, Bag & Smartwatch c/o

Right before we left for our New England road trip, we popped over to NYC for an event I was hosting with Michael Kors and Macy's to celebrate the launch of their new smartwatches. I had a blast at the event, meeting those of you that came by and loved getting the chance to chat and hang out for the evening! I wore this total MICHAEL Michael Kors look- blending my love for all cream on top (this blouse + this coat) and black on the bottom (this leather skirt, these booties and this bag) with the gold details of my new watch.

My favorite out of the new Michael Kors Access collection is the Bradshaw Touchscreen Smartwatch. A few weeks ahead of the event, they sent one over to me to start playing around with and introducing into my day to day. I was never one to jump on the smartwatch bandwagon, mostly due to the fact that they were not all that aesthetically pleasing. I always ended up taking them off because they clashed with whatever I was wearing. I do, however, love the technology that comes with them. For this one, I love being able to change the actual watch face (because it's digital) to what my mood (or what I'm wearing) is. It also uses Google Fit to track steps, which I love to see, especially while traveling. Since we don't get to the gym as often as we like while on the go, we take to walking as much as we can.

Another feature that I've found myself using much more than I had anticipated was the synching of my iPhone to my watch. I always thought that it sounded a bit unnecessary or repetitive since I always have my phone on me. But with traveling and not being in front of my computer, alerts for emails, texts and calls are even more important since I don't always see them right away. Especially when things are a bit more urgent, I've found this super helpful to have a brief notification on my wrist, without disrupting what I'm doing.
